Head of Skyguide Academy (80-100%)

Skyguide provides air navigation services in Switzerland and parts of neighbouring countries. People development is a strategic asset for Skyguide. You strive for a modern, student-centered learning environment for our operational and technical employees, managers and experts for incumbents and well as the new generation of learners.

Your tasks:

  • Lead the Skyguide Academy with approx. 300 employees and a budget of ca. 30 mCHF
  • Further develop the established Skyguide Academy domain strategy
  • Foster innovation and development in the areas of "People, Technology and Philosophy" with the main goal, to improve the ATCO demand fulfilment and success rate
  • Operate and further develop the Air Traffic Controller training
  • Create adequate learning structures in a digitalized world which enables the development of all people within Skyguide. Encourage people for a lifelong learning
  • Support Skyguide to adapt, innovate and compete
  • Ensure a seamless cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the Skyguide Academy in international training bodies
  • Report directly to the Chief HR Officer and work closely with the Operations and the Technical Department

What we are looking for:

  • Expert in adult learning with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage large teams
  • Experience in managing change processes and complexity
  • Business acumen and the ability to manage customers, partners, regulatory authorities and stakeholders well, preferably in the Air Traffic Management business
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
  • Team player with high sense of accountability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to interact with high-level management and Trade Unions
  • Excellent knowledge in English, French and German are mandatory
