We can offer you a variety of topics

  

In most of our projects, you will be using programming languages like Python, and GitLab as a software development platform where you can improve or build up your knowledge. Contribution to Building automation domain topics as well as to SW development infrastructure topics is possible. 

TOPIC 1

  

Analyse HVAC equipment data and develop methods for benchmarking and identification of domain-specific patterns. You will use and learn about cloud services, implement functions, and contribute to the development of analytics and optimization algorithms in a cloud environment.  

TOPIC 2

  

Improve an existing simulation-based development environment in Matlab/Simulink, develop new models and core features like building plant and automation faults to support the development and testing of monitoring and optimization algorithms.  

TOPIC 3

  

Develop new functions for a tool to test control applications, learn about a modern test tool and testing control applications and extend the tools’ functionality to support new use cases. In addition to Python, you will be utilizing frontend technologies including Typescript, Angular, and Electron as well as Rest API and Https. 

TOPIC 4

  

Contribute to the development and testing environment for Analytics rules, tailored for our state-of-the-art Building X cloud solution. Use APIs and Python to script upload of test data, run the rules and evaluate test results against test specifications and further improve development and testing pipelines.

TOPIC 5 

  

Work in a modern HVAC test lab, where you define, prepare and run experiments supervised by experts. Consume the data to investigate, develop or improve functions to analyze the status of the equipment. Different variants of fault detection and machine learning methods can be applied.  

Your skills   

 
  • You study at a Swiss University or University of Applied Science, in the area of Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology 
  • Fluent business English is required and German is a plus 
  • You have good analytics skills and are self-driven and proactive 
  • You feel at home in a development environment 
  • Starting date: as soon as possible
