The Position

The eCoE focuses on three areas: delivering high-level financial expertise, innovative insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset that enables agility and flexibility for stakeholders. The team provides timely, accurate and decision-relevant information to support the CFO, CEO, the Corporate Executive Committee and the Board of Directors in value creation and financial performance management. In addition, it provides timely, accurate and decision-relevant information and analysis of actual and planned financial performance of the Group and Divisions management units.

The Opportunity

This internship will give you a unique financial perspective on one of the world's leading healthcare companies. Based on various management accounting tasks, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the income statement, cash flows, and balance sheet at the group level (Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics).

You will work in an international environment and gain insights into financial accounting and reporting processes, key performance indicators (sales, operating profit, net income, EPS, headcount, and cash flow, among others), products, and markets. Advantages include flexible working hours and working from home.

You will play an active role in:

  • Compiling the management reports for the Corporate Executive Committee, Board of Directors and other important decision-makers
  • Analysing the performance of the Roche Group, divisions, regions and affiliates
  • Supporting Roche's external releases by collaborating with the Investor Relations team
  • Maintaining tools and reports and initiating their further enhancement
  • Projects and initiatives (ad-hoc)

Who You are

You are currently enrolled at a university (studying Finance / Economics or a similar degree) or you completed your degree within the past 12 months.​

Furthermore, You are:

  • Open-minded and adaptable, with a genuine interest in Finance and a curiosity for IT-related topics.
  • Equipped with strong analytical skills and a quick ability to grasp complex concepts.
  • Known for your accurate working style, even under pressure or tight deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and eager to embrace continuous learning opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VBA knowledge is a plus) and PowerPoint, making these a valuable asset to your skillset.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
